Avia took to all things fast and dangerous from a young age, hanging up her stirrups for motorbikes at six.
Following in her father’s footsteps, she adopted motor racing as an outlet for her desire for speed, competing internationally in various historic categories, only stepping out from behind the wheel in 1997 when she had her second child Vita.
The empire had historically spanned from construction companies, car sales, racing car construction (GT40’s winning Lemans 68/69) and the largest motor racing team in Europe during the 60s, plus powerboats and many other businesses. “By the time I became involved, we were still in the marina business, with a shipyard in need of redevelopment and a racing car construction business supplying GT40’s and parts.”
